Internship with Para Learning has helped me learn a lot. In the final days before the unforeseen lock-down, our college professors had prepped and prepared us with two possibilities we’d be faced with at our respective internships. Most of us would have to pester a senior to ensure we get substantial work, others in spite of pestering would be limited to making copies and coffees; in either case, we were to showcase exceptional work or a lip-smacking coffee every single time.
My Experience With Para Learning:
What Para Learning offered was something I didn’t know I was prepared for. My internship experience with Para Learning was not just a learning one but a fulfilling one as well. Working round the clock, managing multiple tasks during the day, attending and scheduling meetings to make sure the deadlines were set and met and so much more, made me realize what a hardworking firm demands of you.
My day started at 7:30 AM, half an hour before Para Learning’s Virtual Camp started. I would supervise the classes until 2 in the afternoon with 15 mins break after every class and a 45-minute lunch break. Once the summer camp ended we’d start working on other projects we had going on like Mind & Me and I designed posters for the event. I was also involved in advertising and sales. I wrote broadcast messages, made promotional videos, and tended to sales calls confirming and boosting sales.
The day’s work would end only after retiring to bed. In spite of this, the energy embodied and displayed by every single volunteer made it so exciting to come to work every day and learn something new. I have had some prior experience with interning, however, it was at Para Learning that gave me the best bosses one could ever ask for. Transparent and forthcoming from the beginning, their unwavering positivity comes as a shock given the stress they work under.
Innovation: PARA Learning’s Success Mantra:
Abishek Iyappan, Margaret Johnson, and Kavya Ramesh never underestimated me and always invited and encouraged inputs and new ideas from my side, making my internship experience at Para Learning enjoyable. They are constantly working on something new and innovative. Trying to set the bar higher than before. Each member of the entire team is working with their strengths and never afraid to take up new challenges. The entire team can be best described as a well-oiled engine that churns out great creative projects that add value and transform lives.
“The sky is the limit”, Abishek Iyappan, Head Consultant at Para Learning believes and now so do I. I have learnt a lot over the five weeks that I have been with Para Learning. I got several opportunities to practically apply the knowledge my classroom had equipped me with and I ended up learning a lot about the field I aspire to be in. Being a part of not just the execution of projects but also getting a chance to be involved in the ideation stage of one is a huge opportunity. Lastly, at the risk of reiteration, it was a brilliant and fulfilling experience.
Keep up the good work going on. Keep writing . Best wishes. Make best use of this lockdown to explore your creativity.
Good
Way more to go!!!!!!!
